Review, Finalize, and Download the Transcript

Review the Transcript

Upon completion of the human-in-the-loop review, the transcript will be made available for review, prior to the Finalization step (see below) To review the transcript, select any uploads that are in the Ready for Review status.

On the Upload information page, select Go To Editor to open the editor.

Using the Audio Playback

At the top of the Quality Control page, you will see the controls for audio playback:

Using the Editor to Modify Transcription Text

To modify a word, words, or punctation in the transcript on the Quality Control page, select the word,
words, or punctuation and modify the text in the text box using your keyboard:

IMPORTANT NOTE: Changes are automatically saved.

Using the Editor to Modify a Speaker

To modify a speaker in the transcript on the Quality Control page, click the speaker’s name (e.g. SPEAKER_06 in the example below).

Once selected, a menu will slide out from the right:

Edit Speaker dialog in the Transcriber AI application. The interface includes options to rename a speaker with a prefilled field ('SPEAKER_06'), reassign the speaker using a dropdown menu labeled '--Select--,' or create a new speaker with a blank input field. At the bottom, there are buttons labeled 'Close' to cancel and 'Save Changes' to apply edits.

This menu provides the following options:

  1. Rename: This option will rename ALL the matching speakers (to the selected one) in transcript
  2. Reassign: This option will reassign the selected speaker for just that block of text
  3. New Speaker: This option will create a new speaker and assign them to the block of text

Click SAVE CHANGES to commit the change to the transcript.

Preview the Transcript

To see a preview of the final PDF, select PREVIEW from the top menu. This may take several minutes
depending on the length of the upload:

A preview of the PDF will be viewable in the web browser. Click the back button in your browser to return to the editor.

Finalize the Transcript

IMPORTANT NOTE: Finalization will lock the transcript and convert it into a PDF for download. Only perform this step when satisfied with the transcript text.

To Finalize the transcript, select FINALIZE from the top menu.

To confirm the finalization, select CONFIRM from the selections. You will be redirected to the Dashboard, where your transcript will be marked as Complete.

Download the Transcript

To download a transcript, select any transcript from the Dashboard that is marked as Complete.

On the top of the page select DOWNLOAD

NOTE: Depending on your browser, the file download will initiate automatically, or the PDF will open in a browser window. If the PDF opens in your browser window, just hover your cursor near the bottom of the window. The following menu will pop up:

Select the downward arrow option to begin the file download.
